Kamala's Broken Border
This week we learn that ICE and Kamala’s border policies have allowed 100 of 1000’s of illegal aliens into the country that are convicted criminals and are free in the US. This is no small part of the over 10 million illegal aliens she has allowed into the country.
The Founders had three criteria for new immigrants: their qualifications; their assimilation; and their allegiance. Today, I have no clue what Kamala’s criteria or goals are.
2020: I promise to use executive order to reverse all of Trump’s border security policies.
2021: I just used executive order to reverse all of Trump’s border security policies.
2022: The border is secure.
2023: The border isn't really secure but I can't do anything about it just by executive order.
2024: Republicans won't secure the border so I'm using executive order to do it.
I support immigration. A lot of immigration. But legal immigration, with a mix of merit based (engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, doctors, mathematicians, etc.) and opportunity-based (people who want to work hard, adopt American values, and get ahead). No doubt there are highly capable, hard working people throughout the world that want to integrate into US society with its freedom and norms.
Tough luck! To legally immigrate into the US is almost impossible unless you are a relative (8 year wait), employer sponsored or win a very limited lottery.
Biden's Illegal Immigration will allow almost 11 MILLION illegal immigrants into the US. And this doesn't count the "got aways," people crossing the border without being caught. Biden is not enforcing the existing laws resulting in a porous border for illegal immigrants. Biden’s border policies continue to be a mess, put many innocents at risk AND allow Mexican cartels to get rich. Why does anybody think he would enforce any new laws.
How is this fair to the many people throughout the world trying to legally immigrate to the USA?
My message:
To all future and current LEGAL IMMIGRANTS: America is the freest, most open country with opportunity to succeed open to all. We welcome you. We need you.
To all future and current ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS: America is the freest, most open country with opportunity to succeed open to all. We will welcome you. We will need you. BUT first you need to go back to your countries and get in line. Not because you are bad people. But because we are a nation of laws that are applied equally to everyone.
Title 8, U.S. Code, sec. 1225(b)(1)(B)(IV) states: Any alien subject to the procedures under this clause shall be detained pending a final determination of credible fear of persecution and, if found not to have such a fear, until removed.
Title 8 U.S. Code, sec 1182(f): Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.
