Justified, Moral, Not Guaranteed and Legal
The leaders of Iran and the IRG, the militarized revolutionary guard, are evil: they are pursuing nuclear weapon, which they have continuously lied and concealed about, and cheated on every agreement and promise made regarding these efforts; they have promoted and supported terrorism throughout the world resulting thousands of deaths and instability in the Middle East; they have developed and used ballistic missile technology and promise that they will destroy Israel and the US; and they have led a murderous authoritarian regime, most recently killing tens of thousands of their citizens protesting the regime.
Various administrations have attempted to negotiate with Iran to reach agreements to end or constrain their efforts without success.
The killing of its leadership is justified. How well the initial success ultimately turns out will depend on the Iranian people of which I am hopeful and the world’s support and management, primarily Trumps of which it is fair to question or have concerns because he has proven to be intellectually lazy and geopolitically naive.
And for all of those people, primarily Democrats, especially those suffering from TDS, who are screaming YES but it’s illegal or unconstitutional, remember that the last time the U.S. Congress formally declared war was on June 4–5, 1942 and passed the War Powers Act in 1972 which to date has not been struck down by the courts
