Fair share? He’s an idiot

Caitlin Clark was the WNB 1st pick in the NBA draft and will receive $338,000 over 4 years. 

Biden’s response. 

Instead of congratulating her for having a fantastic season, being the first round pick and receiving a high salary for the WNBA, he makes this an issue of disparity in pay between females and males. He says she’s not receiving her “fair share.”

The value of the WNBA franchises  is estimated to be $1 billion.

The value of the NBA franchises is $120 billion. 

By fair, he must mean everybody should get the same regardless of their skill, productivity or value created. Some people call that socialism.

If we adjust Caitlin’s salary by the difference in value of the leagues her pay is equivalent to $41 million over 4 years. 

Last years NBA 1st round pick, Victor Wembanyama, recieved  a $55 million four-year contract. 

Given the dramatic difference in value between the two leagues and the dramatic difference in skills and abilities between men and women it’s hard to know what he expects.
