A Trumper Tantrum

I’m starting to think that Trump‘s recent outburst against Zelensky is nothing more than a childish temper tantrum caused by Zelensky not outright accepting Trump’s “deal” for Ukraine’s minerals.

I think there is a good chance that the deal that Trump put together was shallow, one-sided and didn’t address critical factors such as Ukraine security. 

Is that because Trump wants Russia to win in Ukraine? Probably not. I hope not.  It’s probably because Trump doesn’t really think deeply, doesn’t understand how any idea he has might have flaws and reacts to any challenges or questions with a temper tantrum. 

I will continue to hope that Trump‘s advisors and Zelensky will end up working with Trump to craft a deal that does give Ukraine the security it needs and maybe the US gets some financial benefit too.
